About Andrew

Whatever you need, from character creation, world building, story, dialogue, direction and analysis to designing narrative production pipelines, I have the experience to help you. Having hit deadlines in the story offices of soap operas (Emmerdale, Family Affairs, Byker Grove), delivered scripts for multi-million pound franchises (Harry Potter, Prince of Persia); reworked well-loved favourites (Jungle Book, Wind in the Willows, Fable Legends), and generated new IP (Risen, Dirk Dagger) whatever the script and story you need, I am waiting to help you create it.

So, whether your project is in pre-production planning, or already written but missing that certain something to make it stand out, I’m used to working with projects at every stage. Advice, story analysis, script editing, writing, voice-over production, or building the whole narrative from the ground up, I am always looking for the next creative challenge, so please contact me to see how we could work together.

Education

MA in Television and Radio Scriptwriting – Salford University
Law LLB (EC) hons Leicester/Johann Wolfgang-Goethe Universität (Frankfurt).
Additional Courses: Dov Simens Film School, Hands on Directing – Patrick Tucker; Directing for the Big Screen – Simon Hunter.

I am currently Treasurer of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, a Videogames Committee member and a member of IGDA's Writing SIG.

Availability

Despite being a busy freelancer, I am always available to discuss your project and explore ways in which we can work together. I regularly have slots of time available for new projects, so please contact me to and we can agree potential start dates.

As a starting point, I base my rates on the guidelines and agreements provided by The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain.

About writing

While I wholeheartedly support any new writer, my full-time commitments mean that I am unable to offer time to read, or feedback on other writer’s scripts at this time. However, I regularly organise talks about writing and post information about these in the News section of this website .
